Retrieving the Time Machine Estimated Full Backup Size

Another handy little magic spell for MacOS Sonoma’s Time Machine tool is…

log show --predicate 'subsystem == "com.apple.TimeMachine"' --info | grep "Estimated full backup will"

…which – when entered into a suitable Terminal instance – will print out Time Machine’s recent estimates of the storage costs of a full backup…

Having recently re-watched ‘Missing Believed Wiped‘, I stumbled across a pair of nice articles covering the lost and wiped dramas of Northern Ireland – a region that, like the rest of the UK, lost a number of pieces to a poor archiving policy and the the claws of the bulk eraser.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park Expansion – An Early 2024 Update

Introduction

It’s been two years since my last update from the Wildlife Park and the big news is the addition of a new set of cheetah enclosures and a soon to be displayed family of lions*!

*Which I shall cover when they’re actually out and about.

Map

The park’s public map as it stands today. It’s very similar to the previous map with one notable exception – the addition of the new Cheetah Territory at the bottom of the right hand panel!
