Achnahaird Beach (Autumn 2018)

A selection of photographs from Achnahaird Beach taken in the Autumn of 2018 during my first proper holiday to the Highlands. The beach itself is very remote (the better part of an hour north from the already remote Ullapool) and very secluded (during the nearly two hours I spent there I only saw one other person (and they were local!)) and all the more pleasant for it. The weather was changeable; the air was cool but not cold, the clouds were showery but not rainy, and the sun made periodic appearances.

It was a lovely place to visit and I look forward to going back – either in the off season (like this trip) or in the warm summer sun.
