Another snippet of video and another quick look at Douglas Adams’ office space. Unlike my last post about Adams’ office, I’m having a little trouble narrowing down the source program – though the uploader of the original clip suggests that it may have been recorded around February 1995. If that’s true, then that suggests it was originally shown on a non-BBC channel as I cannot find anything in the BBC genome that references Adams during that period.
As last time, Adams’ office is delightfully messy and the ‘organic’ cabling of his audio area makes me feel less bad about my own similar spaghetti of wires. I also suspect the computer to his right (behind the guitar) is probably an Apple Power Macintosh 8100 with a number of external drives stacked atop.
Adams’ desk. Unlike the picture from last time – where his desk was stacked with a full tower plus monitor plus external drives – he has a single laptop, possibly something from the Apple PowerBook 500 series.
And here is the full clip these images were taken from.
