‘Raids over York‘ is an interesting and detailed view of the Baedeker air raids on York.
It covers both the background to each of the raids and the people on the ground that were impacted.
There’s also a very nice interactive GIS map that both covers the locations of the various impacts, shelters, people killed, etc and any photos that were taken.
