Apparently it was Red Nose Day 2021 a couple of weeks ago and I completely missed it – as I have for the past decade or so – which is odd because, as a child, I used to really enjoy it.

Anyway, I wondered how it’s income was standing up after – of course – the effects of inflation have been taken into account.

And, as you can see below, Comic Relief’s income seems to have peaked in the first half of the 2010s rather than, as I had expected, prior to the Great Recession!

The 2020 values have been calculated via the Bank of England’s Inflation Calculator. And, alas, there are no figures for 2021 as they don’t yet seem to have finished counting all of their pennies!
